Wild Game Dinner hits the mark
It took a year off, but the Cepranese Club's Wild Game Dinner came back in a big way. More than 220 people enjoyed themselves at the February 18 culinary fest at Fern Hill Country Club. Attendees enjoyed such delicacies as mezze rigatoni with moose, carved buffalo, elk meatballs, wild boar with broccoli pasta. Besides great food, the great food were treated to a TV raffle, a 50/50 drawing, a gun raffle and door prizes. Plans are already underway for next February's Wild Game Dinner!
“Chi trova amico, trova un tesoro.”
“Who finds a friend, finds a treasure.”
Italian Proverb
For more than 75 years the Cepranese Club of Detroit has lived up to those words, creating camaraderie and bonds that have lasted decades.
At the same time it’s celebrated the heritage, the history and the ties it has with the Italian city for which the club is named - Ceprano, Italy. A social-fraternal organization, the Cepranese Club’s 140 members are made up of immigrants from Ceprano or descendents of those individuals.
From bocce ball tournaments to golf outings and summer family picnics to sumptuous Christmas dinner dances, Cepranese Club members know how to have fun. But more important, they know how to combine good times with a good cause. In the past, the club has donated funds to:
- Earthquake victims in Italy
- Disabled American war veterans
- the American Leukemia Society
